Thank you very much for confirming your participation in the ALCOVE workshop on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th of April 2012 in Brussels.
Please find attached the preliminary program, the preliminary list of participants and practical information concerning the workshop venues and the Hotel.

The main topics of the workshop are:
·         the use advance directives for people with dementia

·         competence assessment for people with dementia

Researchers from the Centre of Biomedical Ethics and Law (University of Leuven, Belgium) and EREMA (Espace national de réflexion éthique sur la maladie d’Alzheimer, France) will present the findings of the work they did in the framework of the ALCOVE project.  In this interactive workshop there will be plenty of time for discussion after each introduction. During the final session policy recommendations to the Member States and the EU will be discussed.
